The Beginning
Edgio evolved from Limelight Networks, a 20-year provider of content delivery services to stream digital content over the Internet.
Edgio's Evolution
Edgio acquired Layer0 in 2021 to bring machine learning, software development and automation, as well as a workflow engine for the creation of fast websites.
In 2022 we acquired Edgecast which increased our network capacity, edge capabilities, enterprise-class security solutions, and Uplynk, a workflow automation engine for streaming media.
